Comprehensive Global Administrative Zones - ADM1 Districts
This dataset contains global administrative boundaries of over 200 countries and territories at the district level (ADM1). Boundary information is sourced from within-country authorities whenever possible, with other information sources including public archives, digitised map documents, and community contributors.
Frameworks
Use cases
- Jurisdictional aggregation for regulatory reporting
- Spatial join with other datasets for country/district-level analysis
- EUDR operator due diligence — country and subnational boundary reference
- Data pipeline normalisation for multi-country spatial workflows
Who uses this
Sustainability analysts and supply chain due diligence teams use ADM1 boundaries to aggregate field-level or parcel-level data to district-level summaries required for regulatory reporting. ESG data teams use the district boundaries to spatially join deforestation, biodiversity, and climate datasets for sub-national risk scoring. EUDR compliance platforms use ADM1 to support producer-level due diligence and generate region-specific risk profiles.
