Frameworks

EUDR SBTN TNFD CSRD ESRS E4

Use cases

  • EUDR land cover change detection for commodity deforestation risk
  • SBTN natural lands baseline and conversion monitoring
  • Land use change analysis for corporate deforestation commitments
  • Habitat conversion screening across supply chain sourcing areas

Who uses this

Agricultural analysts, supply chain due diligence teams, and ESG researchers use the 30 m Cropland Data Layer's long annual record from 2008 to analyse land use trends across US sourcing regions. Commodity traders assess year-over-year crop extent changes. Sustainability teams at food and beverage companies use the historical series to document deforestation-free sourcing claims and track land conversion from native cover to cropland over multi-year windows.
