This dataset classifies land cover at 3 m spatial resolution, with global coverage for custom time periods (> 3 months) from 2017 onwards. Pixels are assigned one of 17 land cover classes.

Precision EUDR compliance teams and sophisticated ESG analysts use the 3 m, 17-class variant where the highest spatial resolution is required — for example, when parcels are small, boundaries are contested, or supply chains include smallholder producers. The additional class granularity helps distinguish land cover types that 10 m products merge, improving accuracy in transition zone detection and reducing false positive deforestation flags.
